I entered the Aer Lounge at the Four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai, on September 10th with Exhibit Group’s founder, Mr. Ramesh Somani, and the ambiance immediately caught me by surprise. There was no stage, no serious-looking lads delivering boring presentations. Instead, the place was brimming with stunning people dressed in their best party outfits, enjoying a relaxed evening by the bar. This doesn’t mean that work didn’t happen; if work could be fun, this was it.
Germany Tourism curated this stellar evening, bringing together the best of the travel creator community. They shared their experiences with one another, and I was engrossed in the fascinating stories about Berlin that came from the articulate Shashank Sanghvi and his gorgeous wife, Dimpi Sanghvi, all while sipping on some German beer.
I also had a chat with Anika Tandon from the German National Tourist Office, India, who offered great insights into how Germany is becoming a go-to destination for Indians.
I interacted with many other travel content creators whose breathtaking posts about Germany had intrigued me for a while. I got a firsthand account of how Germany really is, and here’s what I heard most often: Germany feels like a home away from home.
Germany Tourism’s portrayal of Berlin was spot-on. It’s a fantastic vacation spot for Indians seeking a blend of history, culture, and modernity. Berlin’s multicultural vibe means you’ll find a range of international cuisines, including excellent Indian restaurants, making it easy to enjoy familiar flavors while discovering new ones. You can explore stunning landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag or enjoy diverse cultural offerings at museums and galleries. And for those who enjoy nightlife, Berlin’s party scene is renowned. Coupled with its efficient public transport and friendly locals, Berlin is both accessible and welcoming.
While I haven’t yet visited Berlin, I did travel to Hanover some time ago. To my surprise, even in the cold month of February, Germany warmed my heart. The spectacular views and old-school charm in the architecture made me fall in love. I’ll never forget that trip, and after witnessing what Berlin has to offer, I can’t wait to visit Germany again!
I have just three words for Germany: Ich liebe dich!
I’ll see you again soon.
