Can you share the story of how you began your career as a content creator? What inspired you to start blogging and creating videos?
Neetu: My father passed away when I was 11 years old, and we are four siblings raised by my mother alone. So, I was constantly looking for ways to support my family. Initially, I tried my hands at businesses like event management. However, it didn’t work out in my favour. Then, I started to make short videos on TikTok, and I received excellent traction. However, after TikTok was banned, I moved to creating videos on YouTube in a longer format on viewer demand. My journey as a creator started in 2019 when I gained valuable experience and built a strong presence in the digital space.

What motivated you to venture into the gaming industry? Was there a particular moment or game that sparked this interest?
Neetu: Honestly, I’ve always enjoyed gaming. I used to play on my phone just for fun. But it was only recently that I thought of picking it up more seriously since I really enjoyed exploring and trying new games. I also realised that this could actually be a different career option since there are still very few women making it to the top in the gaming space. Over the years, I have gained recognition as a creator, and I finally have the chance to chase my dream as a gamer and make it a reality!

What challenges have you faced as a female gamer in a predominantly male industry, and how have you overcome them?
Neetu: Being a female gamer in a mostly male industry has its challenges. Sometimes, people don’t take you seriously or judge you. But I don’t let that bother me. I just focus on enjoying the game and creating good content. I believe gaming is for everyone, and as long as I’m having fun and improving, that’s all that matters!
-
How do you balance creating content for both your traditional vlogs and gaming streams? Do you integrate elements from both into your content?
Neetu: I keep both my vlogs and gaming content separate because they have different audiences and styles. My vlogs focus more on lifestyle, fashion, and daily life, while my gaming content is all about having fun in the gaming world. I want to give my best to both without mixing them, so each type of content stays unique and enjoyable for the right audience!
-
Which games or genres do you enjoy the most, and why?
Neetu: Right now, I’m really into horror games like Scary Teacher and Schoolboy Escape Mission. I love the thrill and excitement they bring! But I’m also looking to explore more games like Valorant, BGMI, and other popular ones.
-
What are your goals for your gaming career in the next few years? Are there specific milestones you aim to achieve?
Neetu: I’m just starting my gaming journey, but in the next few years, I want to grow as a gamer and build a strong audience in this space. My goal is to improve my skills, explore different games, and maybe even compete or collaborate with top gamers. I also want to create entertaining and engaging content that people enjoy watching. Excited to see where this journey takes me!
-
What advice would you give to individuals, especially women, who aspire to enter the gaming content creation space?
Neetu: My advice is to stay confident and keep going, even if the views are low at the start. Every journey takes time, and growth doesn’t happen overnight. Focus on enjoying the game, improving your content, and being consistent. If you stay dedicated and have fun, your audience will find you!
-
How do you engage with your gaming community, and what role do they play in shaping your content?
Neetu: I engage with my gaming community by reading their comments, responding to their feedback, and taking their game suggestions. Their support and opinions help me improve and try new things. I want to create content they enjoy, so I always listen to what they like and make sure to involve them in my journey!

With your husband, Lakhan Rawat, also being a content creator, how do you both manage your personal and professional lives?
Neetu: Lakhan and I both understand the demands of content creation, so we support each other in balancing work and personal life. We make sure to set aside quality time together while also focusing on our individual content. Since we’re both in the same field, it’s easier to understand each other’s schedules and challenges. At the end of the day, we make it work by staying supportive and enjoying the journey together!

What gaming setup and equipment do you prefer for your streams? Any recommendations for beginners?
Neetu: For my gaming setup, I prefer a smooth and efficient system with a good PC, a high-quality microphone, and a comfortable headset. A good webcam also helps improve the stream quality. For beginners, I’d recommend starting with a basic but reliable setup, like a decent gaming laptop or PC, a budget-friendly mic, and headphones. You don’t need the most expensive gear to start; just focus on creating good content and upgrade as you grow!
