Dharmatic Entertainment has launched yet another reality show after the fabulous lives of Bollywood wives. The Tribe premiering on October 4th on Amazon Prime focuses on a group of influencers who are placed in a luxurious yet remote location, where they are tasked with various challenges that test their creativity, marketing skills and ablility to engage with their followers. Each influencer comes from a different niche ranging from beauty, lifestyle and fitness to travel and tech.
The show set in the backdrop of Los Angeles features influencers like Alanna Panday who recently became a mother and is the cousin of Ananya Panday is known for showcasing her rich lifestyle on YouTube and Instagram with over 1.7 million followers. Alaviaa Jaaferi who is a fashion influencer with over 328k followers and is also the daughter of Indian actor, comedian Javed Jaaferi. Srushti Porey who is a model and a fashion influencer has over 300k followers on Instagram. Aryaana Gandhi is a singer, songwriter with about 160k followers. Alfia Jafry who is a fashion influencer with 15.1k followers is the daughter of Indian scriptwriter and filmmaker Rumi Jafry. After deleting all her pictures with her husband she’s now rumored to be dating Sohail khan’s son Nirvaan Khan. The show also features Hardik Zaveri who is the co founder of two angel funds ‘Enable’ and ‘8finity’has over 60k followers on Instagram.
Each episode dives into the lives of these influencers showcasing their struggles, achievements and the complexities of balancing their personal life with their public persona. But are these reality shows real or scripted?
Previously, the fabulous lives of Bollywood wives garnered mixed reviews from the audience. Some people felt the show was completely scripted to revive the careers of the four women, on the other hand some people felt their lives are shallow and they barely have any difficulties in their lives. The show openly talked about Botox, fillers and surgeries which were always kept as a hush hush affair by the celebs. Nevertheless the show did get a good viewership and is now ready to make the third season.
