What profession were you in before you started creating content, and when did you decide to take the plunge?
I have a passion for dancing, so after completing my education in 2016, I started running a Dance Academy. A few months later, in 2017, I began creating dance videos on YouTube.
When you started content creation, did you ever think you’d grow so much?
I initially started creating dance videos on YouTube in 2017 but stopped in 2018 as it wasn’t growing. After COVID, I began posting comedy content on Instagram and never expected it to grow this much – but here I am now.
Any tips for budding creators? How is it different now than it was when you first started?
I have always experimented with each of my content pieces and remained consistent, and I suggest the same to other creators.
How cluttered is your space and what do you do to stand out?
The comedy space is more crowded than ever, as it’s become one of the most popular categories after COVID. I observe my surroundings down to the tiniest detail and have built my content around that, making it highly relatable to people. This has helped me create a unique position for myself in this space.
Any crazy fan stories?
I traveled to Sikkim with my family, and to my surprise, the guide recognized me. I never imagined my content had reached so far, and that people were enjoying it. Initially, we planned to have him with us for just a day, but he ended up staying for a week.
Tell us about a brand you really enjoyed creating content for.
The first brand is always special, and for me, it was Hero Honda. I really enjoyed working with them because they gave me creative freedom and appreciated my content.
You can’t take long breaks from the internet, and no matter how you feel, you have to show up regularly. Do you sometimes feel under pressure to be consistent and post content regularly?
I create content for a living, and it has allowed me to live my life on my own terms. I feel that pressure has always been my motivating factor; it has pushed me to come up with new content ideas, stay consistent, and post regularly.
What was the defining moment for you?
When I took my whole family on a flight, it was the first experience for my entire family to travel by air. I was so happy that I was able to do it on my own.
How is content creation different from other professions? What are the perks and challenges?
It allows you to work on yourself rather than work for someone else, and build connections with people across the world without even knowing them.
Tell us about the ups and downs you’ve experienced before you got this far.
I have to shoot my content in real locations, whether it’s a mall, hotel, school, etc., which was a major challenge. I had to convince many people to let me shoot, but now I’ve reached a point where people themselves allow me to shoot at their locations. I feel blessed to have made it this far.
Which is your most viral reel? How long did it take you to create it, and did you anticipate its success? Reel Link
A few of my reels have gone viral, but the one with the most reach is “Middle Class House Construction,” which got 42.5 million views. It took a few hours to create the entire video. There wasn’t any construction happening in my area, but we managed to find one house under construction and convinced the owner to let us shoot. After the content came out, I even gave the owner some ladoo as a thank you for letting us shoot.

Who are your favorite content creators and who do you wish to collaborate with?
One of my favorite content creators, whom I wish to collaborate with, is Zakir Khan. I’m a fan of the storytelling he brings to everything he does, and I hope to create a magical content piece with him one day.
What’s next for you?
I’ve started creating long-form videos on YouTube again, focusing on comedy sketches. I’m also polishing my acting skills and hope to appear on TV or web shows soon as the next step.
