What profession were you in before you started creating content, and when did you decide to take the plunge?
ANS – Before becoming a full-time content creator, I was working in the corporate sector, particularly in a stable job that offered financial security. However, my passion for travel and photography was always there. Eventually, I decided to pursue content creation full-time when I realized that my passion for documenting my travels was resonating with a growing audience, and I wanted to invest more of my time in what I truly loved.
When you started content creation, did you ever think you’d grow so much?
ANS – Honestly, no. When I started, I was just documenting my travels and sharing my experiences with the world. I didn’t imagine the kind of growth and reach I would get over time. It was more about doing something I enjoyed, and the growth came organically as I kept honing my craft.
Any tips for budding creators? How is it different now than it was when you first started?
ANS – Stay authentic, and don’t be afraid to experiment. When I started, the landscape was less crowded, so standing out was a bit easier. Now, the space is much more saturated, so it’s crucial to find your unique voice. Also, consistency is key. Engage with your audience and stay true to your passion.
How cluttered is your space and what do you do to stand out?
ANS – The content creation space is indeed cluttered. I stand out by focusing on high-quality, cinematic visuals, especially through drone shots and scenic storytelling. I also believe in the power of engaging narratives that connect with people emotionally, which adds depth to the visual beauty.
Any crazy fan stories?
ANS – I’ve had fans recognize me in the most unexpected places, like remote villages or airports. One crazy story is when a group of fans traveled hours just to meet me while I was shooting in the mountains. It’s always humbling to see how much impact your work has on people.
Tell us about a brand you really enjoyed creating content for.
ANS – One of my favorite collaborations has been with travel brands that align with my love for exploration, but I particularly enjoyed working with Xiaomi. Their tech helped me showcase some of the best wide-angle shots of landscapes, which truly elevated my content.
You can’t take long breaks from the internet, and no matter how you feel, you have to show up regularly. Do you sometimes feel under pressure to be consistent and post content regularly?
ANS – Absolutely. There is always pressure to stay relevant, and social media doesn’t wait for anyone. Even when I’m not feeling 100%, I have to keep showing up. But I try to manage it by taking short digital detoxes whenever possible and creating a content buffer for when I need a break.
What was the defining moment for you?
ANS – The defining moment was when I first saw one of my reels go viral. That’s when I realized this could be more than just a hobby. The attention and opportunities that came afterward motivated me to take content creation seriously and commit fully to it.
How is content creation different from other professions? What are the perks and challenges?
ANS – Unlike most professions, content creation gives you the freedom to be your own boss and express creativity in a highly personal way. The perks are obvious – flexible work schedules, travel, and collaborations. However, the challenges include constant pressure to produce new content, staying relevant, and dealing with algorithm changes that can impact your reach.
Tell us about the ups and downs you’ve experienced before you got this far.
ANS – The journey has been a rollercoaster. In the beginning, it was tough to get noticed. There were times when I felt demotivated by the slow growth, especially with all the effort I was putting in. But the ups, like brand collaborations, viral reels, and the ability to travel to amazing places, have made it all worth it.
Which is your most viral reel ? How long did it take you to create it, and did you anticipate its success? Reel Link
ANS – One of my most viral reels was a drone shot I did over snow-capped mountains. It was a spur-of-the-moment idea, but it turned out to be a massive hit. It took a day to shoot and edit, but I didn’t expect it to blow up the way it did. That reel really connected with people’s love for scenic beauty and wanderlust.
Who are your favorite content creators and who do you wish to collaborate with?
ANS – I admire a lot of travel creators, both Indian and international. I would love to collaborate with Sam Kolder or Jay Alvarrez one day. Their storytelling and videography style are something I’ve always looked up to.
What’s next for you ?
ANS – I want to explore more untapped destinations and continue pushing the boundaries of travel content. I’m also looking to get into more sustainable travel advocacy, focusing on eco-friendly travel options and raising awareness about preserving the beauty of the places we explore.
