What profession were you in before you started creating content, and when did you decide to take the plunge?
Well, I started off as a graphic designer, and trust me, I dabbled in a lot of other odd jobs too—let’s just say I’ve had quite the eclectic work history. Funny enough, I never had any plans to be a content creator, mainly because back in 2012, ‘content creator’ wasn’t even a thing!
I didn’t ‘take the plunge’ so much as I stumbled into it. One moment I was designing visuals, and the next, I realized I could tell stories that went far beyond the canvas. Before I knew it, I had traded pixels for passports. It wasn’t a well-thought-out plan—it was more like following my curiosity, and honestly, I’m still riding that wave.
When you started content creation, did you ever think you’d grow so much?
Oh, I never planned on being this big. Honestly, back when I started, the term ‘content creator’ wasn’t even a thing! But here’s the thing—I’ve always had big dreams. Even if I didn’t have a roadmap, I always visualized myself as a change-maker, someone who’d leave a mark, no matter where I ended up.
Am I done yet? Not even close. The journey’s still on, and trust me, I’m just getting started.
Any tips for budding creators? How is it different now than it was when you first started?
When I started in 2012, it was a whole different ball game—there were barely any of us doing it! Now, everyone wanting to be a creator has this clear, step-by-step roadmap, which, honestly, is pretty cool. But back then, we didn’t have a guide to follow, and yeah, maybe less competition too. There’s a pro and con to everything, right?
My tip? Always—always—be yourself. Copying other creators or mindlessly chasing trends? Boring. If you’re not bringing something fresh to the table, you’re just going to blend in with everyone else. Authenticity is your secret weapon. Don’t forget it.
How cluttered is your space and what do you do to stand out?
My space? Oh, it’s as cluttered as any other creator’s, trust me. But here’s the deal—I stand out because I bring patience, passion, and a whole lot of love for what I do. Every single piece of content has to be visually stunning—I mean, why would I want to hurt anyone’s eyes, right? The storytelling? It’s gotta be compelling, so nobody’s scrolling past out of boredom. And most importantly, I’m always adding value. That’s how I stay unforgettable.
So, while the space is packed, I make sure my space is one people actually want to be in.
Any crazy fan stories?
Oh, for sure! So, I recently had my first-ever travel film screening for Beyond Borders and Banter—an immersive travel experience that’s basically an amalgamation of travel, film, and tangible experiences, taking travel to the next level. And get this—a girl flew all the way down from London just to be there! Like, she crossed borders to watch me talk about crossing borders, and watch my travel film. That’s next-level insane, right?
Tell us about a brand you really enjoyed creating content for.
Oh, hands down, it’s GoPro. I’ve been a GoPro Ambassador for 8 years now, and honestly, it’s brought out the most adventurous side of me. It’s not just about capturing cool moments; it’s about pushing myself, finding new challenges, and, in a way, getting in touch with who I really am. The brand has been with me on some wild rides, literally and figuratively, and I love how it lets me blend storytelling with pure adrenaline. It’s been a total game-changer.
You can’t take long breaks from the internet, and no matter how you feel, you have to show up regularly. Do you sometimes feel under pressure to be consistent and post content regularly?
Oh, 100%! The internet never takes a day off, and sometimes it feels like you’re on this never-ending treadmill. There’s definitely pressure to show up, even on the days when you just want to switch off and disappear. But let’s be real—consistency is the name of the game. You have to find that sweet spot between being authentic and keeping the momentum going. Sure, it’s a lot, but honestly? I love what I do, so even when it feels like a grind, it’s always worth it.
What was the defining moment for you?
Defining moments for me don’t come all at once—they come in phases, each one reshaping my purpose. One of the biggest moments, though, was when I realized that I wasn’t just creating content or documenting my travels—I was adding real value to people’s lives. I started getting messages from people saying my work had pushed them to break out of their comfort zones, to see the world differently, or even to chase dreams they’d buried for too long.
That’s when it hit me: this isn’t just about capturing beautiful visuals or sharing stories. It’s about impact. I’ve come to see that my purpose evolves with each phase, and right now, it’s all about how I can inspire others, help them see their own potential, and connect in a deeper way. That sense of responsibility is what keeps redefining me.
How is content creation different from other professions? What are the perks and challenges?
Content creation for me isn’t just a profession—it’s a way of life. The lines between work and life blur because your experiences are your content. That’s how I look at it.
The challenge is the constant pressure to show up, stay relevant, and avoid burnout. But the perk? TOTAL FREEDOM. You get to shape your own world, tell your own unique story, and impact others while doing what you love. It’s not always easy, but it’s SOOO worth it.
Tell us about the ups and downs you’ve experienced before you got this far.
Oh, there have been plenty of both. The ups? Those are easy to talk about—the travel, the freedom, the amazing opportunities to work with tourism boards and brands all over the world, and the ability to connect with people globally. But the downs? Those are what really shape you. There were moments when I doubted myself, faced burnout, or felt like I wasn’t moving fast enough. Plus, so many personal problems that people don’t see on the internet. Content creation is constant—it’s not just about staying relevant, it’s about EVOLVING AND ADAPTING. And trust me, that can be exhausting. But here’s the thing: every ‘down’ taught me something. Every challenge pushed me to dig deeper, stay patient, and keep the passion alive. That’s how you grow. The highs are incredible, but the lows? They’re what build you.
Who are your favorite content creators, and who do you wish to collaborate with?
I don’t really have favorites, but I enjoy collaborating with creators who share a similar mindset—those who see beyond just making a viral reel and focus more on the passion for creation itself.
What’s next for you?
The world is my oyster, and honestly, I don’t stop for anything. I love the thrill of creating and surprising myself with new ideas, plans, and how I bring them to life. Beyond just traveling more (because, obviously), I want to build tangible IPs and brands that reflect the core of my purpose. Anything that creates an impact—that’s what’s next for me.
