What profession were you in before you started creating content, and when did you decide to take the plunge?
Before I started creating content, I worked as a sales executive at a textile shop. I never really decided to take the plunge into content creation. Honestly, things just fell into place naturally.
When you started content creation, did you ever think you’d grow so much?
My content creation journey began by accident, and I never expected to end up creating content for a living. Despite the roadblocks, the journey has been incredible, and I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. I never imagined I would grow so much, and I feel extremely fortunate to have received so much love and support.
Any tips for budding creators? How is it different now than it was when you first started?
Do what you love and love what you do! I swear by these words, and I personally feel that passion should be the driving force behind everything you do. When I started, the digital space was still growing, and anyone who joined did it purely out of love for content. Nowadays, everything has become highly number-centric, commercial, and competitive, and every second person is an influencer.
How cluttered is your space and what do you do to stand out?
When it comes to curating content, I still believe in doing my own thing instead of blindly following the crowd. In the era of trends, I try to cater to my audience by delivering content that they genuinely enjoy consuming.
Any crazy fan stories?
There are so many of them! Recently, a fan got my mother’s image tattooed on his hand. I found out through the tattoo artist, who happened to know me. I managed to get on a call with him to talk him out of it, but he was determined to get it done.
Tell us about a brand you really enjoyed creating content for.
A recent brand collaboration I thoroughly enjoyed was with Visit Abu Dhabi. I love traveling, adventure sports, and indulging in luxurious experiences, which is exactly what I did on this trip. This made it an incredibly special and enjoyable experience for me.
You can’t take long breaks from the internet, and no matter how you feel, you have to show up regularly. Do you sometimes feel under pressure to be consistent and post content regularly?
As a digital-first content creator, it’s definitely hard to stay off the grid for too long. However, it’s essential to take breaks now and then. I always listen to my body, and if I need a break, I take it. While consistency and discipline are critical in any line of work, we must also ensure we don’t burn out.
What was the defining moment for you?
I can’t think of a single defining moment, but I genuinely value those instances when I’m out in public and people come up to me, have a conversation with me, and appreciate my work.
How is content creation different from other professions? What are the perks and challenges?
Content creation is a very erratic profession, with its ups and downs. Although I’m extremely passionate about content creation, the profession requires you to constantly put yourself out there, hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. Unlike a regular job, there’s no security, stability, or fixed income. This can be challenging for creators who rely on it as their main source of income. However, it’s also one of the most rewarding professions, especially when your hard work and effort are appreciated.
Tell us about the ups and downs you’ve experienced before you got this far.
There have been countless ups and downs along the way, and I still encounter unexpected challenges. Personally, I’m an extremist. When I’m happy, I’m very happy, and when I’m sad, I’m very sad. Sometimes, I feel demotivated and don’t feel like creating content, and I just want to be left alone. Other times, I get sudden bursts of motivation and fresh ideas. I genuinely live for these happy moments
Which is your most viral reel? How long did it take you to create it, and did you anticipate its success? Reel Link
Everyone who knows me well knows that I’m extremely family-oriented and very close to my mother. A lot of people have personally appreciated this particular reel. It was simple yet effective, and it didn’t take me long to put it together. I understand that my audience loves content that reflects my personality, but I didn’t anticipate that it would go viral. You should watch it for yourself.
