What profession were you in before you started creating content, and when did you decide to take the plunge?
I spent 13 years as a professional cricketer and also played baseball and softball at the national level. Early on, I worked part-time while pursuing sports to avoid financial dependence on my parents. However, I eventually had to step away from cricket to take a full-time role as a Sales Manager at DSC Bank. After a year in that position, balancing my Master’s coursework and state-level baseball matches, I requested time off for the games, but it was denied. This led me to resign. Around the same time, I had been exploring fashion content creation as a hobby. Leaving my full-time job pushed me to take content creation more seriously, turning it into my dedicated career.
When you started content creation, did you ever think you’d grow so much?
What began as a casual hobby soon became much more. A colleague suggested blogging, and I started reviewing products on WordPress. Fashion content became a creative outlet alongside my corporate job. I would spend weekends creating content, using Instagram—back when it was primarily photo-based—as my platform. After leaving my job, my passion for content creation stood out, and I realized I could turn it into a career. It’s incredibly fulfilling to transform a hobby into something I love doing full-time.
Any tips for budding creators? How is it different now than it was when you first started?
Instagram was initially a photo-sharing platform, with only a few creators seeing it as a career. After COVID-19, more people realized there were alternative paths outside traditional jobs, leading to a huge influx of creators. Competition is now tougher. My advice: don’t lose sight of your passion. The space is competitive, but staying true to what you love will help your unique path unfold naturally.
How cluttered is your space and what do you do to stand out?
I feel my answers often blend together, but one thing I know for sure is that following your passion matters the most, no matter how cluttered the space becomes. For me, holding onto my tomboy nature and love for cricket sets me apart. Even as I explored fashion, I never let go of cricket. My content reflects that balance—people see me as someone who loves and has played professional cricket, and I bring humor to it, which makes my journey unique.
Any crazy fan stories?
I vividly remember a trip from Kutch to Rajasthan with my travel buddy. I was creating travel content and posted a story about being on the train. A guy messaged me to meet at a station along the way. I wasn’t sure, but my friend assured me we wouldn’t leave the train. When we arrived, he showed up with his mother, pizzas, and a portrait he had made of me. He asked for my autograph—it was my first one! I was shocked and asked, “Why do you need my autograph? We can just be friends.” He replied, “I feel like you’re going to be something big, and I don’t want to miss this moment.” I only had 20k followers at the time—can you believe it?
Tell us about a brand you really enjoyed creating content for.
My dream collaboration has always been with Google, so when my agency told me they secured a partnership, I was dancing around the house! The process was smooth, and the content performed really well. It went so well that I got to work with them again, making Google one of my favorite brands to collaborate with
You can’t take long breaks from the internet, and no matter how you feel, you have to show up regularly. Do you sometimes feel under pressure to be consistent and post content regularly?
Every day! Lately, I’ve been going through a lot, but I remind myself why I started. I thrive under pressure and know it means I’m doing something right. While the pressure is always there, I try to stay positive and push through.
What was the defining moment for you?
Coming from a middle-class family, buying my parents their first family car and getting my dad his dream bike were huge milestones for me. These moments remind me I’m on the right path and motivate me to keep going.
How is content creation different from other professions? What are the perks and challenges?
Content creation offers complete creative freedom and direct engagement with your audience. Unlike traditional jobs, it’s fluid—you’re always creating and interacting with your community. Perks include being your own boss, reaching a global audience, and receiving real-time feedback. It’s fulfilling to know your content makes people laugh or feel connected. However, the challenges are real. The pressure to consistently create engaging content is intense. It can also be isolating, and staying relevant in a fast-paced digital world with ever-changing algorithms can be tough.

I’ve already touched on this. My journey has been filled with meaningful experiences that shaped who I am today.
Which is your most viral reel? How long did it take you to create it, and did you anticipate its success? Reel Link
While many of my reels have gone viral, my favorite has to be the one I created with Siddhant Sarfare, which racked up over 48 million views! I remember discussing ideas with Siddhant, excited to make the content even better. He suggested a fantastic ending, and we brought it all together in just 30 minutes—though our brainstorming took over two hours! The result? A reel that went crazy viral!

Who are your favorite content creators and who do you wish to collaborate with?
I recently had the opportunity to work with Bhuvan Bam, who has always been a major inspiration for me. He’s deeply connected to his roots, which I really admire. While collaborating with him was a dream come true, I also have two other favorite creators who have motivated me: Prajakta Koli and Ashish Chanchlani. I’d love to work with them too, though I still get a bit shy when it comes to talking to them! I think someday I will gain that confidence, and I’ll just slide into their DMS, and say that please work with me!! Hahaha
What’s next for you?
Thirteen is my lucky number, and here we are at the 13th question! Honestly, I have no clue what’s next for me. If you asked me this five years from now, I’d probably still be in the same boat! I’m just embracing the journey and trusting the process. I’ve worked hard without knowing what lay ahead, and I’ll continue to do so, even if I stumble along the way. I know there will be tough times, but when I look back, I’ll see that every challenge contributed to my growth and shaped my success. So, while it’s tough to predict the future, I believe that what comes next will depend on how dedicated I am today
