What profession were you in before you started creating content, and when did you decide to take the plunge?
I juggled all sorts of jobs, waitressing, receptionist, and even being a kitchen helper. When COVID hit, I had to return from Australia to India to be with my family. That’s when I took the plunge into content creation.
When you started content creation, did you ever think you’d grow so much?
Honestly? I knew I had it in me, but seeing it grow like this—wow! It’s like planting a small seed and watching it turn into a jungle.
Any tips for budding creators? How is it different now than it was when you first started?
Be yourself but be smart about it! Authenticity is your best filter. And it’s different now because things are way more fast-paced and competitive.
How cluttered is your space and what do you do to stand out?
The internet is like a packed party! But you’ve got to bring the loudest, most fabulous outfit if you want to be noticed. For me, it’s all about being unapologetically myself, with a little sass.
Any crazy fan stories?
I once had a fan’s mom come up to me and say, “I want my daughter to grow up to be just like you.” And I thought, “Wait, why would anyone want to be as wild and silly as me?”
Tell us about a brand you really enjoyed creating content for.
I absolutely loved working with L’Oréal. I mean, who wouldn’t want to feel like a glam queen while sharing beauty secrets with their audience?
You can’t take long breaks from the internet, and no matter how you feel, you have to show up regularly. Do you sometimes feel under pressure to be consistent and post content regularly?
Some days are tougher than others, but staying consistent is what keeps the engine running. And when I need a mini-break, I try to refresh with something that feeds my creativity.
What was the defining moment for you?
When I actually started collaborating with big celebrities. I mean, I never imagined that content creation would open doors to meeting people I once only saw on the big screen.
How is content creation different from other professions? What are the perks and challenges?
Content creation is like being your own boss and employee at the same time. The perks? Freedom, creativity, and endless possibilities. The challenges? Oh, balancing that freedom with discipline.
Tell us about the ups and downs you’ve experienced before you got this far.
Oh, the struggles are real! From tech fails to creative blocks, there have been moments where I wanted to pull my hair out. But every down made the ups feel so much sweeter.
Which is your most viral reel? How long did it take you to create it, and did you anticipate its success? Reel Link
It was a last-minute dance challenge I almost didn’t post because I wasn’t “feeling it” that day. It took me 30 minutes to shoot, and it ended up blowing up overnight!
Who are your favorite content creators, and who do you wish to collaborate with?
Definitely Bhuvan Bam and Kusha Kapila! Collaborating with either of them would be a total dream because they’re just so good at what they do!
What’s next for you?
All I can say is, stay tuned, because things are about to get even bigger and brighter!
